Last year my friend Dr. Amy Davis invited me to document the rites of passage for 10 beautiful women. This is a very unique and very special journey for the women that Amy and her team invited into. I was honored to have been invited back to do a new set of portraits for 18 new women before they completed this year long process of stepping into their identity as women.

Here’s an excerpt from the women’s Affirmation of Identity -

“We will continue on this journey called womanhood, realizing our identity through relationship with God, self, others and creation….We will continue devoting ourselves not only to other humans, but to the world God has given to us, caring for the earth in the ways available to us, and seeking to steward the earth in a way that opens possibilities for a richer life for all.”

It was an incredible honor for me to be able to take these photos of each of you. I hope that you will see a true glimpse of how beautiful you are. Thank you for letting me witness such a personal part of your journey.

We love people and organizations that care about orphans and children in need. My Happy Shirts is a non-profit organization that we love and have amazing giving hearts. For every shirt that you buy from them they give a brand new shirt to a child in need. We first learnt of them through my good friend Mary Kay and they donated a bunch of their cool t-shirts to bring to the kids at the Asha House in India. Since then I wanted to give something back to these guys and help the work they’re doing. So we decided to do a photo shoot to promote their really fun t-shirts and to bring awareness to the work they’re doing for orphans and children in need all over the world.

We’re closing out our April with the wedding of Kevin and Diana. It’s been a while since we last hung out with them for their engagement session  in Seaside Heights. But we loved reconnecting with them and their family and friends. They got a beautiful sunny day. Diana looked beautiful and Kevin didn’t do so bad himself! We’re so happy for them and are honored to have been able to document such a special day for them.

I love seeing families grow. We have seen the Garcias go from Isaac  to Isaac and Rylan and now we have Isaac, Rylan and Jude! Heather and Paul are beautiful people and their boys keep them busy. We spent some time down in Central Park letting the boys lead the way. They are full of life and love exploring and just having fun. So that’s what we did. Here’s some of our favorites form our time together….

I have known Lindsey for a few years. She is an amazing make up artist and did my wife’s make up for our wedding a few years back. She’s been so good to us over the years and I was so excited to be able to document her wedding to Phil. They chose the beautiful Florentine Gardens in RIvervale, NJ and got a gorgeous day. I know how special LIndsey and Phil are to their friends and family and it was an honor to be able to be present on the start of their family. So happy for you two and can’t wait to see your family grow!

We got published on the cover of 201 bride magazine! Many thanks to Becky Vanderbeck who is a stellar wedding planner for inviting me to take photos of her wedding inspiration she submitted to the magazine. Her wedding inspiration design got selected to be in the magazine and our photo of Mary, who also does some great make up work is featured on the cover. Sawyer and Andrew. What a sweet, sweet couple. So excited to get married and begin their new life together. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know them over the last year and count it a privilege to have been able to be there to witness and document such a special day. Sawyer put together a beautiful wedding. From all the colors, flowers and one of the best parts…cupcakes from carousel as their wedding ‘cake’! But nothing could outdo the two of them together! We’re so happy for you and wish nothing but happiness and that your love grow deeper every day.

I love these two! Laura is so sweet, caring and one of my biggest supporters for many years. I was so excited when I found out she got engaged. Tony is a class act and a super cool dude! I couldn’t be happier for the two of them! We spent some time in Philadelphia walking around the famous Rocky steps of the Art Museum and then making our way to the Old City district where the cobblestone streets and historic buildings made for a perfect backdrop. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year!
