Today is my parents’ 34th wedding anniversary. They are my example of what a marriage is. I love them dearly and if anyone finds anything good in me it is because of them and the direction, influence, love and grace they have had on me my whole life. They are my inspiration, my example and literally my reason for being on this earth. This is a special post with some photos I got to take of them not long ago that I believe shows and captures the love, affection and laughter that exists and keeps growing between them.
Papi y Mami, les quiero con todo mi corazon!
This photo makes me smile. My dad makes a not so funny joke and laughs at himself, my mom laughs at the silliness of the joke and we all laugh just cause its not funny. I love them!
These are the hardest working hands I know. They are also hands I have felt on my behind a few too many times earlier in life!! 🙂
The bible has been the cornerstone of our family since I can remember. My parents live and die by what’s written in there.
These specific bibles are special since they are gifts from their mom and dad respectively, passed on to them as the cornerstones of their families.
My mom can’t help but shed tears whenever she thinks of her mom who passed away a few years ago. My abuelita gave her these bibles and willed the last one she used to her.
My dad also had a strong man of faith as a dad. My abuelito gave my dad that small New Testament and my dad not only holds t close to his heart but wears it everywhere he goes on his shirt pocket.
Spectacular, Andres. Absolutely spectacular. Your wonderful photographs make it so obvious that who they are (first and foremost their faith) comes through so clearly in you — much to your credit and theirs. I know that they’re as proud of you as you are of them. Kudos to you, again.
Thanks Henry. I appreciate the comment.
