My favorite part of Elisabeth and Matt’s wedding day happened before anything really happened. It happened the first time Matt laid eyes on his bride during their first look. It has now become one of my favorite parts of any wedding day. Being able to witness the first time a groom sees his bride on their wedding day is a moment no one can take from you. You realize that this is what the waiting was for. This is what all the preparation for months, maybe even years was for. This is when you realize that she has been getting ready for you and only you. It’s one of the most beautiful moments in life. And I get to witness it, over and over again.
After they got to spend several minutes alone, Matt couldn’t thank me enough for encouraging them to do a first look before the ceremony. He got to not only soak in his bride and how beautiful she looked but got to spend some time with her during our short photo session before we got the rest of the day going. It was priceless. The day couldn’t really get any better for them, except it did. Because this day was the day that Elisabeth and Matt committed themselves to each other and to a growing love. This day was perfect for them. And I am a lucky fool for being able to witness and document such love.
Matt and Elisabeth you guys are beautiful and your love so evident. I pray the richest of blessings on your lives and your love and I hope you look at each other the same way you looked at each other on that first look…forever.
